Who Are We?
Two members of 9064A work on Starstruck robot
Team 9064C work on their website for the online challenges .
The Robotics team was started by Max Dooley a technology teacher at Morehead High School. Mr. Dooley has taught at Morehead for over 20 years. When the robotics curriculum was introduced (less than 5 years ago) he decided to also partake in the competition portion. At that time there was only one team with not much success the year after that still only one team but learning from last year they won a trophy. Starting with 2015-2016 the team had grown to 3 individual robots and over ten trophies between them, along with going to Worlds for the first time.
Today
This year the team has grown to 4 individual robots with 11 student members. After the first competition of the season they currently have two trophies and most likely more as the season progresses. They hope to qualify for states and worlds this season.
Our Morehead High School Robotics Team consist of eleven members. We meet everyday after school 3:30 to 5:30 and sometimes longer. The MHS Robotics Team uses the VEX Robotics system to design, build and compete within the VEX Robotics Competitions (VRC). This is our fourth year competing in VEX competitions. Our Robotics Team is comprised of young yet talented students that have worked extremely hard to get where we are today. The program has not only tripled its members from roughly 3 to 11 students this year, but it has also managed to go from one robot to four.

We enjoy the program and the experience it can bring us such as team work and learning how to communicate. After school it is time to work hard and ask questions from our team mates. While outside the classroom we're competitors, inside we get along greatly.
